Hey hey!

Want to succeed in SEO?

Skip years of learning (that I did myself) and perfect these 10 SEO concepts today.

They're the core of SEO & you'll be lost without them.

Don't sleep on them.

And return to them often.

Advice: Work your butt off to understand them at a deep level & never stop learning & practicing.

Let’s dive in!

At its core, SEO boils down to creating high quality content & building authority to your content through backlinks.

Focus on these & build repeatable processes.

2/ SEO is building relationships.

What do you mean?

Once you create great content, you need people to support you.

Build relationships = building backlinks.

Build relationships = working with amazing writers.

3/ SEO is customer focused.

Don't get caught up in the technical aspects. It comes down to answering your customer's questions the best.

Find keywords they care about. And produce the best content available.

4/ SEO is knowing Google well.

Google runs search. To master SEO, you should also master Google & what it says about its search algorithm.

Always be learning! Stay up to date on Google updates.

5/ SEO is long term thinking.

Expect results after 3-6 months of SEO work.

Can they come faster? Of course.

But go into SEO with a 1+ year mindset.

SEO is for the long run. Be long run obsessed.

6/ SEO is mystified too much.

You'll see a lot of people confused by SEO & that think it's a mystery.

Don't be someone that encourages that. Make it simpler.

Follow me as I make SEO simpler for millions.

7/ SEO is always evolving.

You can be good at SEO today, but garbage in 5 years...if you fail to learn new tools, trends, and strategies.

Don't get comfortable. Always be testing, learning, and practicing.

8/ SEO is a holistic strategy.

It requires balance.

You need a good content strategy, smart keyword research, insightful writing, optimization, backlink building, CRO practices, and website design.

9/ SEO is not easy. No joke.

Don't think it's going to be a breeze in the park.

It takes strategy, empathy, great writing, & consistency. Be ready to commit time & to work hard.

The hardest workers end up winners.

10/ SEO fails without CRO.

SEO drives traffic & you need to convert them to leads & customers. If you don't, SEO loses its value.

Don't forget about CRO. Put it on a pedestal and use it to measure your SEO success.

11/ SEO requires analytics.

You can't succeed in SEO without proper tracking. I relate it to driving a car with a blind fold on.

You may know where you're going, but you'll never get there.

Set up a monthly SEO analytics process from the start.
