What’s up, savvy peeps!
It’s me, Connor, back in your inbox with another SEO cheat code 👋🏻
If you’ve been wondering how to do SEO faster without sacrificing quality, this one’s for you.
Today, I’m giving you 20 plug-and-play ChatGPT prompts that I use to rank in Google, scale content, and build authority.
Let’s dig right in.

1. Featured Snippet Targeting
Prompt:
“How can I write content about what is programmatic SEO that ranks in Google’s featured snippet?”
How to use it:
Plug it into your H2 section and format it like a direct definition or answer to a question. Boom. You have a concise, snippet-ready answer.
2. SEO Competitor Analysis
Prompt:
“Analyze the SEO strategy of Mailchimp’s blog. What keywords do they target, how often do they publish, and what topics rank best?”
Perfect for:
Reverse-engineering your competitor’s SEO strategy.
Find out what’s working for them and replicate what applies to you, but make it better.
Prompt:
“Create a topical map for the keyword ‘B2B SEO’. Include pillar content and supporting blog topics.”
When to use it:
Use this prompt for developing a hubbing strategy that demonstrates to Google you’re the expert. It’s also great for planning next quarter’s content.

4. SEO Content Briefs
Prompt:
“Build a detailed SEO content brief for ‘best AI tools’. Include H1, H2, keywords, FAQs, meta description, and call to action.”
When to use it:
Content briefs help ensure that each piece of content has all the necessary elements to rank effectively. Use this prompt for every new blog post.
5. Blog Post Optimization
Prompt:
“Audit this blog post on ‘technical SEO audit’ and suggest 5 ways to improve it for better rankings in Google.”
Perfect for:
Upgrading old content and spotting gaps in your SEO.
6. Content Repurposing
Prompt:
“Repurpose this blog post into: 1 tweet threat, 1 LinkedIn post, 1 email, and 1 YouTube script.”
When to use it:
Running low on content ideas?
Take any high-performing blog post and turn it into multiple other content types. Problem solved.
7. SEO Persona Creation
Prompt:
“Create 3 SEO buyer personas for founders of early-stage SaaS companies looking to scale with organic traffic.”
Why use it:
You need clarity on who you’re writing for to create content that speaks their language and targets what they care about.
8. Search Intent Mapping
Prompt:
“List 10 keywords about ‘ecommerce SEO’ and assign them to TOFU, MOFU, or BOFU with explanation.”
Perfect for:
Matching your content to every SEO funnel stage, so your content aligns with where your customer is.
9. Content Promotion Plan
Prompt:
“Create a 7-day content promotion plan for a blog post targeting ‘AI content generation’.”
Helps with:
Ensuring your content gets distributed across all relevant channels. You don’t have to simply hope your content clicks. You can make sure it gets attention.
10. Local SEO Strategy
Prompt:
“Build a local SEO plan for a marketing agency based in Austin, Texas, targeting small businesses.”
Perfect for:
Service-based businesses.
11. SEO KPI Tracking Plan
Prompt:
“List the top 10 SEO KPIs I should track monthly for a content-driven SaaS site and how to measure them.”
Helps to:
Define what makes a successful SEO strategy with measurable metrics.
12. Backlink Outreach Emails
Prompt:
“Write 3 backlink outreach emails for my blog on ‘AI marketing tools’ targeting SaaS-focused websites.”
Great for:
Speeding up your content outreach without using impersonal email templates.
13. Internal Linking Strategy
Prompt:
“Create an internal linking plan for a blog cluster on ‘local SEO for small businesses.”
Why use it:
Ensures link equity is spread equally across your site.
14. Meta Data Optimization
Prompt:
“Give me 5 click-worthy title tags and meta descriptions for the keyword ‘best free SEO audit tools’.”
Why use it:
Eliminate the guesswork on meta copy that gets clicks.
15. FAQ Schema Creation
Prompt:
“Create 5 FAQ questions and answers to include on a blog post about ‘ecommerce keyword research’”.
Why use it:
Adding schema helps search engines interpret your data better. Plus, it makes your content easier to digest for humans, too.
16. Seasonal SEO Planning
Prompt:
“What SEO content should I publish each quarter in 2025 for the keyword theme ‘holiday marketing’?”
Why this matters:
Search behavior changes according to the calendar. Google responds to that by serving the most relevant content based on what people are looking for right now.
17. Blog Outline Reverse Engineering
Prompt:
“Analyze the top 5 Google results for ‘email marketing benchmarks 2025’ and build a stronger outline.”
Why this works:
This is classic beating your competition at their own game. AI can help you build a strategy that’s stronger and more in-depth.
18. Ranking on LLMs
Prompt:
“Create a strategy for me to follow to rank my business on ChatGPT and other LLMs for my main service, ‘b2b seo content services’.”
Why use this:
Ranking on ChatGPT and other LLMs is the new way to dominate. More people are now using AI for search instead of traditional search engines.
19. Keyword Research
Prompt:
“Give me 15 long-tail keyword ideas for ‘email marketing for SaaS companies’ with search intent, difficulty, and volume estimates.”
Great for:
Discovering low-competition gems that you can build your next content series around.
20. Content Gap Analysis
Prompt:
“Compare my blog (website) to (competitor website) and list 10 SEO content topics they have that I don’t.”
Perfect for:
Identifying what your content plan lacks. Once those gaps are pointed out, create your own, better versions of their best content.
