Navigating SEO can feel like a complex puzzle, but it's all about the right mindset and focusing on achievable goals.

Let's break down my approach to keyword research that aligns with our ever-evolving SEO landscape.

1/ Steer Clear of Competitive Keywords

- Don't aim to be in the top 0.10%

- Avoid keywords w/ KD > 50.

- Until you reach 60+ DR.

2/ Hyperfocus on Long Tail Keywords

- Instead, go for low KD & Vol > 50.

- These are the "low hanging fruit".

- Keywords you can rank for w/ a low DR.

3/ Go Where Others Aren't

- A keyword w/ 0 KD & 50 Vol is GOLD.

- Become the BEST for those keywords.

- Build an SEO foundation & go from there.

4/ Never Stop Researching New Ops

- Don't keyword research 1x then stop.

- Do it monthly to find new keyword ideas.

- There's BILLIONS of search terms.

5/ Optimize Often & With Intent

- Don't publish & forget.

- Track your keyword rankings.

- And optimize quarterly to improve.

Leave the high KD keywords to the giants.

Get comfortable in the low KD keywords.
