Today, I want to break down the 4 most important pillars that drive SEO.

Perfect these and you should see SEO traffic to your site.

The Four Pillars of SEO:

1/ Content & Upgrades

- Knowing your ICP. Who is your ideal reader? Break them down.

- Finding BOFU keywords. Bottom of funnel, high intent keywords where your ICP is searching for a real solution.

- Driving traffic w/ content. Publishing 5-10+ keyword focused articles and pages on your site each month.

- Upgrading high potential pages. Finding pages ranking #10-50 and upgrading the content so they rank better and drive more traffic.

And that’s just content.

Let’s talk about backlinks now…

- Gaining "trust" online. Backlinks are a ranking factor for Google. The more backlinks you have from reputable sources, the better.

- Getting that "vote of confidence". When someone links to you, Google says, “Oh, they must trust this site too” and adjusts your authority.

- Relevant to your industry. Make sure that backlinks are from other companies and websites in your space. They’ll mean more to Google.

- Backed by authority. You can’t build 0 DR backlinks and think it’s going to work. You need a mix of 20-90+ DR backlinks.

3/ CRO & UX

- Designing w/ purpose. People care about design today. It’s not 1999 anymore…

- Having a modern experience. Optimize for mobile and make your site look like other top competitors.

- Turning traffic into leads. Add opportunities for visitors to sign up to lead magnets so you can add them to your email list.

- And turn leads into revenue. This is the KEY. SEO is nothing without conversions.

4/ Analytics

- Measuring your efforts. You can’t do SEO without great analytics.

- Seeing what's working. Check weekly to see how your SEO efforts are turning into rankings, traffic, and leads.

- Adjusting & improving. If a strategy is working, double down on it. If something isn’t, change it up and improve.

- Always be learning. SEO is changing rapidly. Don’t get stuck in old habits.
