What’s up Savvy friends!

Today is all about personal branding and how to build a personal brand around your area of expertise on LinkedIn or Twitter/X.

I started writing daily on LinkedIn in January 2023 and since then I’ve grown a following to 80,000+ followers and just recently I was named the #1 SEO Creator on LinkedIn by Favikon.

In January 2024, I started writing daily on Twitter/X as well and have quickly grown to 4,000+ followers. Slower than LinkedIn, but still SUPER powerful.

Today, I want to share 7 strategies that contributed most to this growth.

1/ One Reader: Speak to one ICP. One specific reader. Know their problems and help them daily.

2/ One Topic: Choose one topic. Write about it every day. For me, it was SEO. Niche and don't stray.

3/ 1 Post/Day: Post same time daily M-F. Add real value. Don’t hold anything back. 7am EST is ideal.

4/ Study Creators: Find what’s working for top creators in your niche. Post types, topics, and timing.

5/ Make Friends: LinkedIn is a social game. The more friends you make, more comments, reposts, etc.

6/ Be Present: Show up daily and reply to all comments. Be a resource for your followers every day.

7/ Engage + Support: Comment on 10+ creators/day. Add value, ask questions, and root others on.

BONUS: Get obsessed. Find viral posts. Recreate them for your readers. Spend 1-2 hrs on LinkedIn daily.

Most people that want to start a personal brand stop after 1, 2, 3 months.

Or they never get started out of fear.

Fear of what people will think.

Fear of a post flopping.

Fear of imposter syndrome.

The key to fight through the fear is a system.

A consistent set of processes you can execute every day.

I had fear when I first started as well.

And it persisted through the first year.

And I still even feel it sometimes today.

But it was my system that kept me going.

Take this system and make it your own.

Commit for 3 months then analyze the results.

If it worked how you wanted it to, repeat for another 3 months.

Hope this helps someone!

Best,

Connor
